The 2016 Hugo Awards are over and the award for Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form) did not go to Doctor Who.

This year the award went to the final episode of the Netflix original Jessica Jones.

The episode was written by Stephen Moffat and directed by Rachel Talalay and starred Peter Capaldi.  You might remember this episode as being carried by Capaldi is in nearly solo performance.

Rachel Talaley thanked everyone for the support:

Doctor Who previously won for The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances The Girl in the FIreplaceBlinkThe Waters of MarsThe Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, and The Doctor’s Wife.

Better luck next year.
